My sister and I visited our dear friend because we haven’t seen each other for weeks which is unusual 😉 We had a heartfelt lunch at their house and we decided to try Cups and Cones (highly recommended by MJ) for snacks. I haven’t heard of the place yet because its basically new according to our friend and plus, it was not along our area. We called first to ask what time are they opening. We arrived at 3:30 pm because they are opening at three. The place is very homey and inviting. We casually ushered ourselves in one of their comfortable seats and ordered.
Look how cute their menu is 😀 I haven’t seen this before and it really made an impression.
The facade of the store is a combination of contemporary and organic elements. With the classic white background, interiors are adorned with wood and mod decos. It was like one of the many cafes in other places to be honest but it also has a unique relaxed vibe that I want while spending quality time with loved ones.
We wanted to try out our favorites to see if it tastes good as where we usually go.
rasberry / pink lemonade / banapple
The drinks were surprisingly affordable 🙂 The raspberry and pink lemonade are only Php 30.00 (solo) which tastes really good. I ordered the banapple and not that happy with it. I guess I should have ordered their other iced mixes instead 😦
We tried the pork and mushroom spaghetti and we love it. I distinguished a hint of liquor but my sister and MJ insisted it was probably the basil, well, we’re not really sure 😀 I don’t even have complaints on the Garlic Bread. I was kind of expecting a burnt or stiff piece but it tastes liked it was hot off the oven.
And because I have sweet tooth I can’t resist ordering this sweet Oreo Cheesecake and Mango Parfait 🙂 We always have Mango Parfait in Tokyo Cafe but this one from Cups and Cones tastes better. I love how fresh the mango is when served. And cheesecake is probably one of my favorite dessert and it was luscious.
Our unexpected visit is perhaps one of the times I wouldn’t forget 🙂 I love the place and the food. I don’t have a lot of complaints on the service because they were courteous enough to take our orders but they were a bit stiff I guess? I love it when I go to a place and the people working there reflects the ambiance they were in. It was homey enough but I wasn’t feeling at home. Nonetheless it was still a great place to eat with friends and family and we wanted to come back soon and hoping I see smiling staff already 😉
